Go behind the scenes at JPL for an informative and fun tour of the lab that gave us the Mars Rover. Limited transportation provided from the Alumni Circle. This tour involves walking and stair climbing -- walking shoes recommended. Cameras are allowed on the tour. Government photo IDs (driver’s license or passport) will be required for admission. Join us for this fun and informative tour led by members of the Oxy Green Tours Team. The tour highlights sustainability efforts including the UEPI garden, solar array, the bike share program and other exciting “green” efforts. Meet at UEPI. Walking shoes recommended.

3:00 PM - 5:00 PM 100 Years in the Eagle Rock Valley!
Location: Gallery & Braun Room, Main Floor, Library

Visit the Library Gallery for exhibits and an open house on Oxy history from the Library’s Special Collections & College Archives.  Scrapbooks, memorabilia, photographs and historical artifacts will be on exhibit in the Gallery and in Braun Room. Your hosts are college archivists Dale Ann Stieber and Anne Mar along with Eagle Rock historian and author Eric Warren ’69. The exhibits include The Road to Eagle Rock, a pictorial essay on Oxy’s formative years, a pictorial history of Oxy in Eagle Rock, and time for informal talks with curators Eric, Dale and Anne. Note: The Road to Eagle Rock and other gallery exhibits will be open throughout Alumni Reunion Weekend.

Oxy alumnus, world traveler and Disney Imagineering Design Leader & Portfolio Creative Executive Joe Rohde ’77 shares his unique perspective and philosophy on the idea of creating space, with a focus on the Occidental Eagle Rock campus as an example of infusing meaning into design.

The college's new full-time Title IX coordinator, Ruth Jones will provide a brief overview of the steps that the college has taken to address sexual misconduct on campus and plans for the future.
