Omar Paxson '48 was a fixture in Oxy's drama department for over four decades. He continues to visit the campus most days to read and research in the library. Today's students are familiar with the little man in the jumpsuit and Greek sailor's cap. Omar, still the cutest man on campus!
Omar established the College as a center for provocative, innovative, and very entertaining theater. From the stage of Thorne Hall to the outdoor lawn of the Hillside Theater, from the Music Center to Broadway and beyond, Omar has inspired students and alumni and friends and helped us explore the extraordinary variety of staged drama.
Come help us celebrate his many contributions, large and small, to the College and to the lives of all of us who have had the honor and the pleasure to call Omar our friend and mentor.
