Occidental College will launch a yearlong celebration of its 125th anniversary with a full day of activities on Founders Day, April 20, which marks the day in 1887 when Occidental was formally incorporated as Los Angeles' first and only liberal arts college.
Founders Day 2012 will feature 1887-inspired entertainment, including carnival games, barbershop quartets, and a Ferris wheel. In addition, prominent Oxy alumni will lead panel discussions on finance, entertainment, and other current issues. That evening, during the Founders Dinner in Hillside Theater, President Jonathan Veitch will unveil his vision for the future of the College.
(Please note reservations to the Founders Dinner Celebration must be made by April 13.)
