Oxy Women in Philanthropy: Values, Vision, and Voice

Please join us on November 12 from 11 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. PST for our first ever panel focused on Oxy Women in Philanthropy. This important conversation will focus on women's growing influence as changemakers through their gifts of time, talent, treasure, and testimony. The event, hosted by Gloria Duffy '75, Occidental College trustee and president and CEO of the Commonwealth Club, will feature Jeannie Sager, director, Women's Philanthropy Institute, Lilly Family School of Philanthropy, Indiana University–Purdue University Indianapolis, and we will hear first-hand experiences and reflections from female leaders in the Oxy community:

Women are taking action to deal with some of the most pressing societal and global issues of our time, be they social, economic, or environmental. We are giving our time and talent as executives, board members, community organizers, volunteers, and committee members, and more. We are using our networks and voices to galvanize support for issues we care about. And, we are focusing our philanthropy on causes we believe in. Join us and learn how these women charted their own paths to giving, identified their personal values and charitable interests, and reaped the rewards of learning from others along the way. Our hope is that this conversation inspires our next generation of female change makers.
